First tip: If you didn't know, dirty pools use up more chlorine. With leaves and pollen dropping all over town, make sure you have someone remove that stuff ASAP. The longer it sits, the more piles up, and you have not only high demands for sanitizing chemicals, but you leave your pool vulnerable to organic staining on your plaster. That tree debris also releases phosphates in the water, which is algae food! If you have high amounts of pollen or leaves in your pool this time of year, grab a phosphate test kit and phosphate remover. It'll make your life much easier!
